Radi se o mašini poznatog  proizvodača Adler class 20-2, jedna od najjačih industrijskih šivaćih mašina uopšte. Namijenjena je za umjereno teške, teške i najteže uvjete rada. Gabaritom i masom izrazito velika mašina. Prije svega njena namjena je šivenje debele kože kao i šivanje jakih kožnih torbi, moto opreme svih vrsta, bisage, oprema za borilačke sportove (vreće, štitnici, fokuseri, strunjače) prošivanje-štepanje kože za jakom spužvom, za remenare, za majstore koji popravljaju opremu za konjsku vuču, za prošivanje "španera" kojima se stežu veliki tereti na kamionu..

The stitch length is for this type of machine and expected and goes up to a maximum of 10 mm, it has a stroke forward / backward, lubrication is done manually on access points and all the main bearings of the "head" of the machine are of the sliding type. For lubrication, mainly oil for sewing machines is used, and in some places special grease. It has a high foot lift (about 20 mm). Such machines also require a strong thread, which is a thickness of 20, 10 or 8.

Elektromotor je kombinovani, radi i na 220 i 380 V, uopšte je nije potrebno postavljati na tri faze, jedino za bolji start motora ako je slabiji napon, način transporta materijala je dvostruki prenos (NE igleni, gornja stopica prati donji transporter), kretanje stopice se može po potrebi potpuno isključiti. Štep korak je za ovu vrstu mašine i očekivan a ide do maksimalnih 10 mm, ima hod naprijed/nazad, podmazivanje je ručno na pristupne tačke a svi glavni ležajevi "glave" mašine su kliznog tipa. Za podmzivanje se koristi uglavnom ulje za šivaće mašine a na pojedinim mjestima specijalna mast (tot mast) Ima visoko podizanje stopice (oko 20 mm). Ovakve mašine zahtijevaju i jak konac a to je 20, 10 ili 8-ca.

Thicker needles of 180-230 are used to work on Adle 20, it all depends on which thread is used and what is the thickness of the material. The clamping part of the needle is 2.5 mm in diameter and the span to the tip of the needle eye is 60 mm. I specifically tried to sew the following things: reinforced rubber hose, six layers of thinner leather, four layers of car belt, double old thick leather, 5 mm plywood ☺, 4 layers of thick leather ... etc, this Adler sews everything possible.! The machine, with regular maintenance and lubrication, is practically indestructible, of all that can be broken, it is a needle, and considering the thickness of the needle, it is also a rare case.

The date of production of this sewing machine is not known to me, I bought it from a gentleman who kept it for a long time, and then I restoration it in detail. Watch a short video as well.

Špulna za donji konac je velika i može po prilično dosta konca na nju stati, moćan grajfer oscilirajućeg tipa. Za rad na Adle 20 koriste se deblje igle od 180-230, sve zavisi koji se konac koristi i koja je debljina materijala. Stezni dio igle je prečika 2,5 mm a raspon do vrha učice igle
60 mm. Ja sam konkretno isprobao šiti sledeće stvari: armirano gumeni šlauf-crijevo, šest slojeva tanje kože, četiri sloja auto pojasa, dvostruka stara debela koža, šperploča 5 mm :), 4 sloja debele kože...itd, ova Adler-ka šije sve moguće.! Mašina uz redovno održavanje i podmazivanje je praktično neuništiva, od svega što se može polomiti to je igla a s obzirom na debljinu igale i to je rijedak slučaj.
